Vote Vote Vote
Yesterday was election day in Indonesia. It’s the first part of a series of election, which are: parliament election and president election. persident’s election will be held later.
We had to choose in 3 papers.
The 1st paper is for House of Representatives (DPR RI)
The 2nd paper is for Regional Representatives Council (DPD RI)
I’m not sure about the 3rd paper, since I never open it
But I suspect it’s for Provincial Legislative Assembly (DPRD Tingkat I) and Town Legislative Assembly (DPRD Tingkat II).
My choice were:
1. I chose someone from Partai Gerindra for DPR RI.
Well, the day before I almost chose someone from Partai Demokrat, but recently I read lot of news about money politics did by Partai Demokrat. Then I changed my mind into Partai Gerindra.
The reason I chose Partai Gerindra is I believe that Indonesia need strong and powerful leadership to be president, and Prabowo Subianto meet my requirement.
If i were choosing Partai Demokrat, it’s because SBY’s performance is not bad as president. But since there are lot of news about money politics, including the one suspected done by his sone, then I worry about his 2nd term as president. and hey, Roy Suryo is also nominee of DPR’s member from Partai Demokrat.
Although there are lot of controversy about Prabowo, but somehow I think someone like him will be good for Indonesia. Then I chose hir party to support his candidacy for President’s election.
2. I chose Dani Anwar for DPD RI.
I don’t know who Dani Anwar is. I only know that he was fight for DKI Jakarta’s vice governor’s position.
3. I never chose someone for DPRD, since in my opinion, their positions are little bit meaningless, and once I chose them, I chose them to become corrupt.
These choice can be consider as new choice. Last 2004, I can not participate on election, because they misspelled my name. Instead of “Anthony Fajri” or something that can be pronounce as “antoni fajri”, they wrote as “Bambang”. What the f*c*? Anthony Fajri goes Bambang?
And if you ask my, why I do participate on this election?
Because I do care of Indonesia!
Regards,
Anthony Fajri, on all-nite-job duty during holiday!
